Rest In Peace

Sissy's beloved mare, Cinderella lost her fight with continued intestinal problems on Saturday, September 13, 2008.  She was a wonderful animal, companion, and competitor.  All those who knew her, loved her.
We will miss you Cinderella!

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Cutting Horse clinic!

"Cutting" is fast becoming one of the most popular equine sports. The quick-paced, athletic competition pits horse and rider against the wiley steer that does not want to be "cut out" or separated from the small herd of cattle.

Now, famed cutting horse trainer, Kenny Fisher will hold a beginner's cutting clinic at Lonestar Ranch on Saturday, September 27, 2008.

You will learn the history of cutting, what makes a good cutting horse, the techniques involved, the building blocks of teaching your horse to cut, and secrets to impressing the judges in cutting competitions.

You will also get personal coaching from Kenny Fisher on YOUR horse, or his, to see if you or your horse has what it takes to "make the cut!"

Session 1 begins at 10:00am and runs to NOON

Lonestar Lunch from Noon-1:00pm
Lonestar Lunch - $10 or bring your own sack lunch

Session 2 begins at 1:00pm and runs to 3:00pm

Only 20 people will be able to audit the clinic at a cost of $25 each.
Only 10 people will be able to ride and get personal coaching for $50 each.

To reserve one of the limited spots: email Mark Alford at markaalford@yahoo.com

John Hunter of Tebo Creek Ranch in Calhoun, MO brought his horse Dreamer, and his ropes to instruct participants on the fine art of calf roping. More than 30 people turned out for the two hour roping clinic, to learn the fundamentals of roping. Check out the rest of the pictures by Rachele Valdiviez, to see the fun for yourself!
