Lone Star Ranch sits on 20 acres of rolling hills in
the southeast part of Kansas City, Missouri. It is just 20
minutes from downtown, but you feel like you are hours away from the
hustle and bustle of city life.
The 28,000 square foot barn holds 62 stalls, 10 tack rooms and 6 tie
stalls. The indoor arena is 130'x 65' and is brightly lit with
good footing. Rose's Lounge is a
spacious heated indoor viewing lounge with plenty of sitting room,
antique tables and chairs and a bar along plate glass windows where
you can watch the kiddos ride while you sip on hot-chocolate or
"whatever." Seven Oaks 4-H club meets in the lounge on Monday
nights during the summer. It's always a place to find a good
cup of coffee and good conversation. WARNING! You may
need your hip waders!
The Hylton Outdoor arena is huge, 250'x125', nearly rodeo size.
It has its own lighting system so riders can enjoy their horse well
into the summer nights and long after the harvest moon has come up.
Our pasture horses enjoy the fresh water of the three ponds. We
supplement the brome grass in the pasture with plenty of round bales
of locally cut hay. You may
even be able to catch a fish or two. The big pond is stocked
with bass and catfish! Fishin' is free, but don't tell anyone
else.
The horses boarded in stalls enjoy the constant attention from our
staff and clients, locally cut brome hay,
Purina Country Acres 14% protein pelleted feed,
and clean water buckets. Stalls are cleaned six days a week
and bedded down with the best shavings we can find.
Turnout is also available. Lone Star
Ranch is a little slice of heaven inside the city of
fountains. |
