Subject: RE: Lone Star Ranch Buckle Series Show

THANK YOU!!!!! Big thanks for taking the time to deliver a very nice looking buckle. I enjoyed showing at your show, everyone was very friendly and helpful. A lot of shows are not fun to go to. Mark has gone out of his way and his wife to make a good staff and put on a great show. I'm not sure who I spoke to on the phone that night about the buckle being delivered, I just hope she gets this message and how I really appreciated her bringing me the awards.  BIG THANK YOU from LOOKS DECEIVING & DEB ARNOLD

Regarding the Silver Buckle Series show May, 2008

Kathy,
What a day! Even though it was a long one, we had a blast! I know I am prejudice, but I think Mike did a great job (announcing the show) for having no clue what he was doing. And we both enjoyed learning all about how things work during a show. We were so proud of the girls, not because they won some ribbons, but how well they worked with Phoenicia and Oreo, the Wonder Pony. Kate was so fired up when we got home, we couldn't get her to go to bed, and she keeps telling everyone that next time she is barrel racing! We are so pleased we found Lone Star and more importantly you!

4/8/08  Showmanship Clinic

"Kathy, thanks so much for all the time and energy you spent conducting the showmanship clinic. It was very informative and fun. It was amazing to see SUZY do different (new) things."

4/8/08

A free showmanship clinic "Jumpstart Your Showmanship" was given 4/8/08 at Lonestar with approximately 50 participants and observers. It was a huge success with lots of Pizza to boot.

Cinder Jackson attended and commented:

"Kathy, Really nice clinic. Thanks for inviting me. Your new barn manager seems to be a good one and Oreo (our pony) is so cute."

Mr. Alford,

My children and I attended your BBQ and Buckles series this summer and I wanted to say we had a great time.  Everyone helping out at the show are so very friendly and really helped out.  They made the kids feel proud of themselves and showed them what good sportsmanship is truly about.  You can tell you really enjoy doing things for the kids and us adults have a good time also.  My daughter wasn’t feeling well and you were so very nice for letting her go in and lay down.   We are all looking forward to coming back next year .  But I just wanted to let you know I think you put on a wonderful show and have a great family atmosphere.  See you next year!

Thanks Again

ALL I NEED TO KNOW IN LIFE I LEARNED FROM MY HORSE
When in doubt, run far, far away.
You can never have too many treats.
Passing gas in public is nothing to be ashamed of.
New shoes are an absolute necessity every 6 weeks.
Ignore "cues" . . . they're just a prompt to do more work.
Everyone loves a good, wet, slobbery kiss.
Heaven is eating for at least 10 hours a day, and then sleeping the rest.
Great legs and a nice rear will get you anywhere. Big, brown eyes help too.
When you want your way, stomp hard on the nearest foot.
Act dumb when faced with a task you don't want to do.
Follow the herd. . . . that way, you can't be singled out to take the blame.
A swift kick in the butt will get anyone's attention.
Love those who love you back, especially if they have something good to eat.
